Produce managers (grocery) generally perform oversight functions within supermarkets and other stores containing a produce section. They are responsible for ensuring that a safe, attractive environment is available for customers visiting the produce department, and they work closely with store managers, assistant managers and buyers; they may work directly with vendors and or or farmers instead of employing purchasers.
