Facilities security officers (FSOs) are responsible for managing the security of their facilities. They are accountable for ensuring an environment that is secure for employees as well as vendors and visitors. They oversee daily activities related to security of entry, video security and other security equipment. FSOs utilize personal computers to record entry and personnel records, and also examine closed circuit recordings and provide assistance for physical security requirements. They must be able to work on their own under minimal supervision and make informed decisions with limited information.
